Which time periods do SMART Signals cover?
You can choose between SMART Signals across four timeframes: four hours, six hours, eight hours and twelve hours. So you can choose a trade idea that suits your strategy and style.
How do I trade SMART Signals?
1. Open your City Index account, or log in if you already have one
2. Navigate to the Signals tab on Web Trader, or tap ‘More’ and then ‘SMART Signals’ on mobile
3. You’ll see a list of the current trade ideas from the SMART Signals engine, including their previous win rate, details of the trade and how far the market is from the suggested entry
4. Choose a signal to trade it. You can set up your own trade parameters, or go with those suggested by the signals engine
How are SMART Signals generated?
SMART Signals are generated using a selection algorithm that automatically monitors 36 major markets, looking for price patterns that have previously predicted a specific price action. The algorithm will then filter out opportunities to show you a curated list.
Each trade idea comes with a suggested take profit and stop loss level, which you can choose to use or ignore.
